Day 2 – JBT 1- Amman- Cycle Um Qais to Pella- Pella
Starting and ending at the Greco-Roman Decoplis cities of Um Qais and Pella, the mountainous terrain and greenery of the north immediately become apparent as you cycle along rolling hills, down to Ziglab Lake and an Eco Park before following a canal path before turning off to Pella.
Distance: 47Km, Ascent: 1222m, Descent: 1610m

Day 3 – JBT 2- Pella- Cycle Pella to Ajloun- Ajloun
From the ancient ruins of Pella, the route heads up a long ascent on good-quality roads through small villages, passing several farms and olive groves until arriving at the 12th century Islamic Castle in Ajloun.
Distance: 43Km, Ascent: 1789m, Descent: 799m

Day 4 – JBT 3- Ajloun- Cycle Ajloun to Wadi Zarqa- Wadi Zarqa
From Ajloun Castle, this beautiful section of the trail traverses on a mixture of quiet mountain roads and dirt tracks and descends over 2000 meters to the Zarqa River.
Distance: 46 Km, Ascent: 1279Km, Descent: 2265m

Day 5 – JBT 4- Wadi Zarqa- Cycle Wadi Zarqa to Fuheis/Carakale- Fuheis
Starting from the Zarqa River crossing, this day has two major climbs and cuts between the cities of Amman and Salt, before finishing with a welcomed reward at Carakale, Jordan’s first microbrewery in the city of Fuheis.
Distance: 44 Km, Ascent: 1823m, Descent: 1133m

Day 6 – JBT 5- Fuheis- Cycle Fuheis/Carakale to Madaba- Madaba
Departing from Carakale Brewery, the last day in the Northern Region includes traversing up and down rolling hills along quiet roads, before a climb to Mount Nebo and the Madaba plateau.
Distance: 50Km, Ascent: 1991m, Descent: 1814m

Day 7 – JBT 6- Madaba- Cycle Madaba to Wadi Hidan- Wadi Hidan
The characteristic large canyons and wadis of the central region quickly becomes apparent as you leave the Madaba plateau descending to Wadi Zarqa Ma’in, then climbing up a canyon past Mukawir, before plunging back down into Wadi Hidan.
Distance: 52Km, Ascent: 1212m, Descent: 1877m

Day 8 – JBT 7- Wadi Hidan- Cycle Wadi Hidan to Wadi Mujib- Wadi Mujib
After crossing the river, this route winds up along the side of the canyon and across the Dhiban plateau before descending off road to Wadi Mujib, crossing the Mujib River and beginning another climb.
Distance: 38Km, Ascent: 1722m, Descent: 1428m

Day 9 – JBT 8- Wadi Mujib- Cycle Wadi Mujib to Kerak- Kerak
Day eight starts with a long climb, departs the Mujib Nature Reserve, and reenters civilization roughly paralleling the King’s Highway. The day ends with a long off-road downhill and uphill that brings you right to the center of Kerak.
Distance: 40 Km, Ascent: 1352m, Descent: 872m

Day 10 – JBT 9- Kerak- Cycle Kerak to Wadi Hasa- Wadi Hasa
Starting in the center of the city of Kerak, this section passes through a major city, rural countryside, and then races downhill along the King’s Highway passing the Tanour Dam just outside of Kerak governorate limits.
Distance: 50Km, Ascent: 1142m, Descent: 1553m
Overnight in Wadi Hasa.
Day 11 – JBT 10- Wadi Hasa- Cycle Wadi Hasa to Dana- Dana
Starting with a major climb from Wadi Hasa, cycle through Tafila, past Ma’artan, curling along canyons to 1,500m in altitude, and then descend- finishing in Dana, a 500-year-old village situated on the edge of a natural gorge with stunning views.
Distance: 51Km, Ascent: 1862m, Descent: 1086m

Day 12 – JBT 11- Dana- Cycle Dana to Shobak- Shobak
Starting from the 500-year-old village of Dana, travel along the ancient trade route of the King’s Highway, before cutting through the desert and climbing to a finish at the Crusader castle in Shobak.
Distance: 28Km, Ascent: 788m, Descent: 739m

Day 13 – JBT 12- Shobak- Cycle Shobak to Petra- Petra
Start from the crusader castle in Shobak and cycle mostly off road with views throughout the day over the Jordan Valley until finishing at the rose-red city of Petra.
Distance: 48Km, Ascent: 1278m, Descent: 1712m

Day 14 – JBT- Petra- Free Day exploring Petra- Petra
Free day to re-enter the city through 1KM long narrow gorge called the Siq, which is flanked either side by 80m high cliffs! Notice the dazzling colors and formations of the rocks. The site is massive, and contains hundreds of elaborated rock-cut tombs, a treasury, Roman-style theatres, temples, sacrificial altars and colonnaded streets. More time to visit other trails and sites inside Petra, such as the High Place of Sacrifice, the monastery, etc.

Day 15 – JBT 13- Petra- Cycle Petra to Abbisiya- Abbisiya
After Petra the route has its last major climb, reaching the highest point of the trail, before passing through the small town of Al Rajif and beginning the off-road decline to the Red Sea.
Distance: 54Km, Ascent: 1286m, Descent: 1298m

Day 16 – JBT 14- Abbisiya- Cycle Abbisiya to Wadi Rum- Wadi Rum
Get a true taste of the quintessential middle-eastern desert landscape as you quickly cycle through isolated desert on caravan tracks before crossing the Desert Highway and cycling along Wadi Rum Road to the entrance of one of the most majestic sites in Jordan.
Distance: 61km, Ascent: 757m, Descent: 941m
Overnight in Wadi Rum.
Day 17 – JBT 15- Wadi Rum- Cycle Wadi Rum to Aqaba- Aqaba
Cycle between the granite and sandstone mountains on the desert sands all the way through the largest Wadi in Jordan until turning onto the Desert Highway for the final descent to the Red Sea.
Distance: 71Km, Ascent: 763m, Descent: 1593m
Overnight in Aqaba.
Day 18- Aqaba- Queen Alia Airport
Morning pick-up from your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Queen Alia Airport for departure with flight (TBC).
