Meet your support crew, get briefed, familiarized with the bikes and start biking from Wadi Dana view point towards Shobak. We’ll pass the 500-year-old village of Dana, travel along the ancient trade route of the King’s Highway and pass by Shobak Castle, the first of the series of Crusader Castles built in Jordan. You’d get the chance to take some panoramic photos as we continue cycling for a short bit to our local host house for a delicious lunch.
Some time to relax and we carry on biking off-road on a mixture of dirt tracks and roads to our camping location. The route contours around the mountains of Dana and Petra with great views across the Jordan valley.
In the late afternoon we’ll reach the campsite set up by our crew at Ras al Feid.

This morning, after breakfast, we start biking right from our campsite all the way to Petra.

On this route there is a lookout over Petra, Wadi Musa, and the small town of Um Sayhoun, with Aarons Shrine barely visible in the distance on top of Jabal Haroun. Finish with a descent to the entrance of Petra.
Our cycling adventure ends near Petra Visitor Center at the location TBA. Our biking crew will leave from here, and you’ll still have enough time to grab a lunch and visit Petra on your own. Or, alternatively, to spend afternoon relaxing and visit Petra the following day. Or, perhaps, to book a car/bus and return back to Amman.
