Pioneering E-Bike Tours in Jordan

As the first tour company to introduce E-bike tours in the country, we have paved the way for a new, Eco-friendly way to explore Jordan’s stunning landscapes. With an E-bike, the journey is just as enjoyable as the destination, making it possible for more people to experience Jordan’s natural beauty in an active and engaging way.

New regulations allowing E-bikes for tour operators in Jordan; while E-bikes have been allowed and widely used in most parts of the world, they were officially permitted by the Ministry of Interior – Central Technical Office of Traffic Affairs for use by licensed adventure tour companies in Jordan a few weeks ago – after three years of persistent lobbying and collaboration with the authorities. Experience Jordan Adventures, along with other forward-thinking companies, worked closely with the Jordanian government to establish the necessary rules and regulations for the safe use of E-bikes in the country.

To put things in perspective, whenever one of our cycling groups had an electric bike in the past, we had to file for a one-time permission to allow its use on Jordanian roads exactly as the arranged itinerary states, but now the whole sector of adventure tourism in Jordan can benefit from our initiative, any licensed adventure tour company in Jordan is now allowed to have e-bikes on any cycle trip as long as their e-bike fleet consists of bicycles with regulatory approved specifications and standards.

Many of our happy customers were able to finish longer distances and enjoy more scenery when booking an e-bike for their cycle trips, as e-bikes have more freedom when it comes to the fitness requirement of the rider.
