This is a 7-day tour visiting and experiencing Jordan’s unique sites, and engaging with its people and culture.
Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport near Amman, where we will meet you, assist with immigration and then transfer you to your hotel. Amman is one of the oldest cities in the world, inhabited since the bronze age. The city is growing into a modern city, but retains its character and history.
The drive from the airport into Amman takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your arrival time.
Overnight in Amman.
Depart from your hotel in Amman and head north to walk through the vast historical site in Jerash, regarded as one of the most important and best preserved Roman cities in the world. Afterwards, continue to Ajloun and visit the castle, dominating the Ajloun skyline and built to ward off the Crusader armies at the key trade and pilgrimage intersection between Jerusalem, Cairo, Damascus and Mecca. Return to Amman.

Overnight in Amman.
After breakfast, you start your journey to the south, beginning with Mount Nebo. Marvel at the beautiful view from the place where already Moses looked across to the Promised Land and later died and was buried. Continue then to the town of Madaba and discover the amazing Byzantine mosaics excavated throughout the town. See the mosaic Madaba Map, the oldest preserved map of the Holy Lands.
Continue south to the city of Karak, in ancient times also known as the capital of Moab. Explore the maze of stone-vaulted halls and passageways in the city’s Crusader castle that provides an impressive insight into the architectural and military skills of the Crusaders, and dominates Karak’s skyline until today. Drive on south and have another stop at Shobak castle, also known as Montreal, that was built by Crusaders as well, but provides a contrasting example to Kerak. Finish your journey arriving close to the Nabatean city of Petra.

The drive from Mount Nebo to Madaba is around 15-20 mins.
The drive from Madaba to Kerak is around 2 hours.
The drive from Kerak to Shobak is around 2 hours.
The drive from Shobak to Petra is around 1 hour.
Overnight in Petra.
A master piece half as old as time: the Red Rose City of Petra. Explore its many caves and tombs; walk through the Siq; admire the magnificent Treasury, the entrance guarding the ancient Nabatean city – now one of the Modern 7 Wonders of the World. If there’s enough time, you can discover the vast city further, such as Qasr Al-Bint or the Royal Tombs. Later that day, drive to Wadi Rum for a roughly 2-hour Jeep tour, following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia, climbing sand dunes and rock bridges. Enjoy the hospitality of the Bedouins and spend the night under the stars in the peaceful desert.

After waking up to the sunrise and a simple breakfast in the desert, you’ll head to Aqaba, Jordan’s only port with access to the Red Sea. Enjoy a boat ride on a glass bottom boat, enjoying views of the coral, and also views across Jordan, Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Time to swim and snorkel from the boat, over coral and view the fantastic range of tropical fish. Lunch included on the boat. You will then head north, on the Dead Sea highway for overnight at the resorts on the shore of the Dead Sea.
The drive from Wadi Rum to Aqaba takes around 40 min.
The drive from Aqaba to the Dead Sea takes around 4 hours.

Begin your last full day in Jordan with a relaxed breakfast. Then, you will have some time to float in the Dead Sea, enjoy the warm sunshine by the pool, try out an invigorating mud bath to cleanse the skin, or pamper yourself with other spa treatments.
Around noon, we will transfer you back to where your trip began, to Amman. If you want and time allows, we can then take you on a city tour to visit the most famous archaeological sites, such as the Citadel and the Roman Theater, explore the local markets around the Husseini Mosque in downtown and some of the city’s older quarters, or get your last souvenirs.
